Ullswater, Lake District National Park

Posted in Landscape, Travel at 7:30 pm by Warren Williams

Ullswater was the first lake seen from entering the impressive Lake District from Penrith in the North East after a 90min drive from Newcastle. The weather was not obliging, so most photo opportunities were very limiting. After 3 hours spent walking around the hills, waterfalls and fields there was a few minutes of sunshine.

Cheers Ben! It’s pretty easy when you’re face to face with natural scenes like that! Add a grad ND filter, or two in my case on this shoot, and that’s it. đŸ™‚

Didn’t I have a comment saying how it looked like Lord of the Rings and that there should be hobbits running around?

    Maybe I didn’t… Oh well…

There can only be one hobbiton, and that’s New Zealand! It was nice here, but still can’t compare to NZ
