Muriwai Gannet Colony

Posted in Animals, General, Landscape at 12:00 am by Warren Williams

Took a trip out mid afternoon to Muriwai to capture a sunset. The weather turned twice, bringing some heavy showers down, which just made the scene more dramatic.

PS. Happy Birthday Kirst πŸ˜‰

Incredible photos, as always. The first in this series is the best.
I need to get some real gear so I have a fighting chance of taking anything decent.

Thanks for the Birthday wishes πŸ™‚

Sounds like none of us know :p

It’s a personal thing anyway, I like to have done my whole site and design myself. I’ve had the offers for a redesign, but quite happy with the basic look of now. May one day upgrade to a better gallery software, in which I don’t have to rebuild everything, and manually change the thumbnails. That’s why for now, the blog is working great. πŸ˜‰

Always strive to be the best. I try and be as helpful as I can to anyone around me. Whether it’s in regards to photography, or other matters. Manners are essential is this modern world, in which many people fail in.

i know that. and everybody can learn from each other. equal to what it is. to share knowledge is what we all should go for too. thats my opinion.

Hey Warren these are awesome! Did you use a fish eye lens at all? The third one is my favourite, looks like a cyclone is coming

Thanks Julia – Good to see you
It was taken with the Sigma 10-20mm @ 11mm. So pretty wide angle! Gives some nice barrel distortion.
