After missing the connecting flight, had to wait for the next available flight several hours later. The flight from Sydney to Auckland was a brisk 2 hours 20min flying over Piha, Oratia &amp; Henderson (my home towns over the past 20 years) before seeing a spectacular view of Auckland city and the Hauraki Gulf.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.warrenwilliams.co.nz\/2008\/FEB_0749.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.warrenwilliams.co.nz\/2008\/FEB_0749-s.jpg\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nThe view towards Bondi beach<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.warrenwilliams.co.nz\/2008\/FEB_0752.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.warrenwilliams.co.nz\/2008\/FEB_0752-s.jpg\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nClear waters of the Tasman Sea, and Sydney City views<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.warrenwilliams.co.nz\/2008\/FEB_0763.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.warrenwilliams.co.nz\/2008\/FEB_0763-s.jpg\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nAuckland&#8217;s Harbour Bridge, Sky Tower, Princes Wharf (with a large cruise liner) and North shore<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.warrenwilliams.co.nz\/2008\/FEB_0769.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.warrenwilliams.co.nz\/2008\/FEB_0769-s.jpg\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nMotuihe Island, in the Hauraki Gulf, where I&#8217;ve spent days planting trees<\/p>\n<p>The next twelves days in New Zealand will be a rush, catching up with friends and family, shooting a wedding, before heading back to London.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After almost eight months away from home, the final destination was approaching.
