Darren’s a fellow photographer and friend, and drove himself and wife, Beatrix, along from London to the East coast of Kent – Broadstairs, followed by white cliffs of Dover. The weather was rather gloomy, so rather than shooting the intended landscapes, focused more on them as a married couple.

After a few days in Newcastle, travelling around Tynemouth, Lake District and Hadrian’s Wall, decided to drive down to Norfolk and visit some friends for a few days. First up was a quick trip to the local Banham Zoo.

Typical English weather greeted Silverstone for the climax of the weekend at 1pm. For sixty laps, twenty racers dodged heavy rain, and caught brief moments of sun. Lewis Hamilton in front of his home crowd, put in a scintillating wet weather drive, beating Nick Heidfeld and Rubens Barrichello by over a minute. Full gallery: www.warrenwilliams.co.nz/f1

Hampstead Heath is London’s largest and most beautiful park. Views from Parliament Hill overlook most of London, whilst the park also features open air public swimming pools and plenty of walking tracks.

Met up with a group of photographers for a walk around Canary Wharf, Greenwich Park and the O2 (Millennium dome).
Starting around the financial and modern district of Canary Wharf, the buildings created good shooting subjects.

The Olympic torch relay hit the streets of snowy London today, marred by much controversy between China and Tibet. A large police presence, and Chinese security forces surrounded the torch throughout the 31 mile trip across London.

The daffodils flowering in London are a dead giveaway, that spring has arrived. Spent the afternoon walking around London with my friend, Katie – taking in the various sights of St James’s Park, Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey and South Bank.

During my very short stay in NZ, decided to catch up with my old workmate Kayla and her partner Carl. Just over two years ago, Lilly was born, very premature due to complications, weighing in at just 3lb 4oz (1510 grams) – half the normal weight.
The gallery of the newborn photos in the ICU of Auckland Hospital can be viewed here
